1. LOTS of pillows
2. Pajamas that open in front
3. Cooking and freezing meals for my hubby to make
4. Spray deodorant (because of my BA..was hard to reach under there with regular deodorant)
5. Saltine crackers
6. Bottled water
7. New DVDs/toys for the kids
8. Body spray...couldn\'t take a shower for a few days because of the drains, so it helped me smell decent, at least!

And read this!!  http://www.tuckthattummy.com/forum/board_entry.php?id=395219

well besides everything that was already mentioned, i joined netflix right before surgery. i may not continue for much longer once i start back school and work but it was nice not to watch daytime tv all the time (you can pick out a ton of movies before surgery so you dont have to worry about it)

1. Lift chair/recliner--saved my back
2. Pantiliners (long & unscented) to place inside underwear or garment instead of having to tape gauze in place.
3. Lots of help at first, at least the first week.
4. Stool softeners. I finally had to resort to a laxative.  I used MOM-no belly cramps! That would have been horrible.
5. No matter how tired you are of laying/sitting around, DO IT.  Your body needs time to heal.---

Invaluable to me were:

A patient/more than willing to help u caregiver for at least 2weeks.
A husband/boyfriend pillow and lots of fluffy pillows too.
Small thick pillows to hold against ur belly when u cough or sneeze or to have as a buffer if u have little ones that need to be held by mommy.
Your pain meds handy.
Cough drops.
Socks.
Well stocked fridge with quick prep foods.
Lots of water and ginger ale.
Straws.
Comfy pjs
A Bible for words of comfort and patience.
A clean well stocked bathroom.
Total control of the remote.
Correctol or some type of laxative or stool softener.
First aid kit.
Tylenol pm.
Lots of entertainment options for ur kids so u can sleep.

And of course, email Mrs. Mig for her very extensive and most helpful list.

Stay prayerful and be patient with ur body throughout ur recovery.

Peace and blessings,
Ty
