I would weigh the risk/benefit. I have heard that there are a fairly high number of people who end up having cheek implants removed/replaced. I personally wouldn\'t get them, because I already have pretty prominent cheek bones. If I did need augmentation, I would probably also try fat grafts first, because I have heard that fat grafts to the cheek have a higher retention rate than to other parts of the face. I have a general "aversion" to implants; however, because I just don\'t want to have to have them taken out later. Also, I think each doctor has their own success rate, so if you are going to a very reputable doctor, your chance of complications and/or unhappiness with the results are lower.
So, you have to calculate 1) how unhappy you are with your current cheekbones, 2) what are the advantages of implants over other methods of augmentation, 3) how good is your doctor/what is the risk of unhappiness, 4) how much does the cost of the implants/and possible future costs of revision come into play. I guess you probably already know all this, but from what I\'ve been reading about cheek implants on this board, I understand your hesitation.
