Cosmetic Surgery Recovery...
« on: February 27, 2007, 02:14:00 am »
am doing research and wanted to know if patients who have cosmetic or plastic surgery (i.e. facelift, breast augmentation, laser resurfacing, etc...) would be interested in a non-hospital or clinic recovery center? I know of many people who recover at home or in a hotel for the first 2-3 days, but are petrified of doing the right things, what they should look like, or problems with dressings and pain medication.

So the question is...Would patients be interested in recovering in a spa-like environment, with 24 hour care provided by cosmetic surgery trained registered nurses or nurse practitioners for the first 24-72 hrs after they are released from the hospital or surgicenter?

Thanks for any input!

can certainly see the reason to have such a recovery place. Having had several procedures, if I hadn\'t had an ideal environment, my husband and friends to care for me, and been able to feel comfortable, I would totally be interested in a recovery spa, I\'ve often wondered what it would be like to become licensed and facilitate such a place.
Cheers!

m intersted in learning if you\'ve found a lot of interest in this type of facility.  I\'ve been thinking of opening one up in Denver and am starting the research.  I\'m wondering what kind of nurse people would want to have taking care of them.  Would love to swap info! Thanks!!
