d love to see pix.  I\'m having the surgery in Toronto by Dr. Sliwin.  Since I can\'t email you thru this I\'m going to take a chance and put my email here.  Feel free to use it. Jamie (jamiegdann@rogers.com)

 jamied,

After having my third and last child I have been unable to loose the few inches  around the lower half of my body.  My son is now 15 months old and I believe the inches are here to stay.  I have been considering lipo on my hips, thighs, and buttock.  You mentioned that you live in Toronto which is great news for me since I live in Toronto as well.  I have two appointments next month to see \"Board Certified\" Plastic Surgeons.  What made you decide to go with Dr. S...(sorry I did not write his name down)?  My concern is that one of the Doc\'s that I am going to see specializes in \"Breast Surgeries\".  This Doctor operated on me several years ago for another health related issue not related to the breast or lipo (he was refered to me by my GP). I truly like this Doctor and I feel comfortable with him.  I know from experience that he is a good Surgeon however, I am unsure if he is going to be able to achieve the lipo results I am looking for.  The other Surgeon I am seeing is basically a \"shot in the dark\"!!  I liked the results I saw on the internet under this second doctors website compared to the pictures shown of the Doctor I already know.  This second Doctor is Board Certified as well which make me feel comfortable. I believe he does not specialize in any one area which for my situation may be benifical .  My thought is that he probably performs more lipo surgeries than the first doctor I mention.

How many Doctors did you speak with before you decided on this one and why did you choose him out of the many qualified Doctors available.  Also, when are you going in for your surgery?

Is there anyone else out there who might be or have been in the same situation that I am in?

I\'m looking forward to your response Jamied as well as anyone else who might be able to give me some input.

 Cappy:

I went to 3 drs.  One in Barrie, who later told me he was closing his office (didn\'t stick with him because of how he told me, etc.) Met with one dr. also who does breast reconstuction (email me if you want names , my email is in an above posting).  Didn\'t choose him because he was pricier and said that he could do lipo, BR and tt all at once in three hours as an outpatient.  That REALLY scared me.  The dr. I chose was much more concerned about safety...Because I\'m a bit heavy, he said he would DEFINATELY not do all three surgeries together.  THe consult was also MUCH more thorough.  I\'m having the lipo on Mar 24 (1 month and counting :-)) and then the BR and TT on May 7th in hospital.  I will stay overnight for 2 nights - NOT outpatient.  I\'m happy to give the names, but don\'t know if it is appropriate to give them over this site.  Jamie

takes a while for abdominal movements to feel natural again...but you won\'t undo any of the work. The more you exercise the easier it becomes. Make sure you are stretching ou your abdominals when you are done. Hope that helps.
By the way...Jamie, I had my surgery in May of last year, and I too had alot of questions I wish someone could\'ve answered. If you are interested let me know and we can correspond.

anks tinkerbell for the offer of help.  Right now I\'m getting over my lipo.  TT surgery is not until May 7th.  How did you find having your surgery in May in terms of recovering in time for summer?
