Hematoma after facelift
« on: April 04, 2009, 07:01:00 pm »
had my facelift 8 1/2 weeks ago and still have swelling on the neck and hard \"spots\" on my cheek. I called the doctor\'s office 2 or 3 weeks ago and was told this was all normal. I\'m finding it hard to believe now, though. I plan on calling again tomorrow and insisting the doctor look at me. I suggest you do the same if you\'re even a little concerned.

Hematoma after facelift

am three weeks post op having had a facelift and liposuction to my neck.  I had an area in my neck which bled repeatedly and had to be syringed after clotting. This has left a puffy circle and a solid feeling to my neck. There is also a raised , hardened area  on my cheek which still appears to have underlying bruising. There are several deep lines on this area.  Can you tell me if it will be temporary or permanent and if temporary for how long and is there anything I can do to hasten healing?

ar anonymous,

I am also looking for help with post-op concerns. I am recovering from facelift surgery that I had eight days ago.  I was not prepared for the enormous amount of swelling that I have .  The sides of my
face and my neck are hard as a rock  and I am swollen beyond recognition. Does it serve any purpose to continue using ice packs?  Is there anything I can do to speed up this process?

Please, can somebody out there help us facelift patients. Thanks
